Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) IDEaS Marketplace 2023

“The Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS) program of the Department of National Defence (DND) is hosting its second annual “IDEaS Marketplace,” which will be held at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, on June 2, 2023, from 9h00 to 16h00.

Last year’s IDEaS Marketplace was a great success with over 400 stakeholders in attendance. The event showcased accomplishments from the Competitive Projects element’s First Call for Proposals with 42 companies presenting their solutions and 49 innovation booths features on the exhibition floor.

This event aims to create new opportunities for innovators funded through the IDEaS program to present their solutions to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), the DND and other potential end users within the public and private sector. Invited guests will include:

• Existing IDEaS stakeholders within the DND and the CAF;
• Representatives of large defence and security firms; and
• Federal and provincial government partners supporting innovation.”
