Jim Shaffer awarded APS Fellowship
Quantum Valley Ideas Lab is proud to announce that Senior Technical Fellow James Shaffer has been awarded an American Physical Society fellowship.
The fellowship was presented for his “groundbreaking experiments in Rydberg excitations in trapped quantum gases that led to the formation of ultra long-range Rydberg molecules and Rydberg macrodimers, and for prototyping Rydberg-atom based RF metrology and sensing.”
He was recommended by the American Physical Society Division of Atomic, Molecular & Optical Physics (DAMOP) at their September meeting.
